Rebuilding Together

BWI's Rebuilding Together home repair program is coming in 2021. It will provide home repairs for the homes of U.S. military veterans such as fixing broken windows, landscaping, roof repair, floor repair, plumbing, electrical, and other health and safety home repairs that Veterans are unable to do due to circumstances beyond their control. 


Qualifications include:

  • Any U.S. veteran with an honorable, or general, discharge is eligible.

  • Verification of discharge status is required.

  • Program is not available to widows or widowers of veterans.

  • Active-duty military and military families are not eligible.

  • The Veteran must live in Clayton County.

  • Rental properties do not qualify for this program.

  • Be unable to complete home repairs otherwise due to age, disability, or circumstance.

  • The Veteran must own, not rent, and live in the home, tax assessment building value cannot exceed $100,000.

  • Possess current homeowner's insurance.

  • The Veteran must have property taxes paid in full, are not in danger of a foreclosure on your home.

  • BWI's home repair service is not meant to be used for emergency repair purposes. 

  • Meet the income guidelines that will be outlined in the application. This is NOT a quick process. All information submitted by each applicant will be verified. (Please click the 'request more info' below if you would like to be placed on the waiting list)
